Brief Biography:

Alexander Graham Bell was born in Edinbergh, Scotland in the year of 1847. Although he only attended school for 5 years, he is one of the greatest inventors of all time. At the prime age of 29, he invented the telephone. Yes, the telephone may be a big deal to us, but to him the photophone was his greatest invention. A photophone is a device that enabled sound to be transmitted on a beam of light. The invention that hit him close to the heart, however, was his invention of sign language. Both his mom and wife were deaf, and this motivated him and his father to invent "visible speech". He met his wife when he went to go be a professor at Boston University, and together they had 3 sons.

"Sometimes we stare so long at a door that is closing that we see too late the one that is open."
